Port de Roses
The port of Roses is located at the extreme point of the bay of Roses, at the beginning of the Cape of Creus and a few meters from the town’s urban center. It offers a good protection against the winds, which in this area can blow very hard.
Originally it was a fishing port, but, over time, the sports area has gained weight, especially after the expansion and rehabilitation works of 2004 . The mouth is very wide, with seventy meters and a depth of nine. The depth in the port ranges between three and six meters.
The sports basin is located in the north of the port facilities. It has a total of 483 moorings -110 of them for passers-by-, for boats of lengths up to 45 meters. They are equipped with water, electricity and Wi-Fi connection. The dock has a ramp of beached, service of collection of dirty waters, monitored monitoring and gas station open 24 hours, next to which the waiting spring extends. The captain’s building offers a communications and meteorological and tourist information service.
In the port facilities there is also a restaurant, toilets with showers, laundry, nursing and parking, as well as a sailing school and nautical activities. It also has several shops of nautical material, boat rental, car and motorcycle rentals, workshops, naval electronics and diving centers.
It is a good starting point to visit the spectacular coastline of this area, since it is located near the beaches and coves located in the Natural Park of Cap de Creus. The village of Cadaqués is eight miles far away.
